Adam Lazar is an attorney specializing in estate planning and the cost-effective transfer of wealth between generations. He enjoys working with Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica LLP clients and their advisors to create plans tailored to their unique needs, including plans for entrepreneurs at the pre- and post- IPO stages, as well as for families and individuals. In addition, Adam brings nearly fifteen years of litigation experience to the JKZ litigation practice, and enjoys representing beneficiaries and trustees in challenging and defending wills, trusts, and contested estates. Prior to joining JKZ, Adam was an estate planning attorney with Jorgenson, Siegel, McClure & Flegel in Menlo Park, California. Adam also previously served as Assistant Regional Counsel and Special Assistant United States Attorney with the Social Security Administration Office of General Counsel in San Francisco.
Adam earned his Bachelors of Arts from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, his JD from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and an LLM in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Adam lives with his family in San Francisco and regularly volunteers as a housing counselor, as a Bicycle Ambassador for the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, and as the compost manager for the Page Street Community Garden.
