Verenice is the Executive Assistant to Yulissa Zulaica and brings six years of paralegal experience to the firm. In her prior roles, Verenice helped hundreds of Bay Area families receive immigration relief, investigated employment disputes, provided support in matters of administrative law, and while in Florida, served as the litigation paralegal in an ERISA law firm. Her versatile professional background and organizational skills make her a great addition to the team.
Verenice attended U.C. Berkeley where she was selected as a McNair Scholar and studied the presence of Islamophobia in the Latino immigrant community. She is an active volunteer with the East Bay Naturalization Collaborative, a member of Sambaxe Dance Company, and a certified Zumba Fitness Instructor.
