Yulissa is a partner at Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica LLP, primarily managing the trust administration and probate portion of the practice. In addition, Yulissa is the lead attorney for international estate planning, addressing cross-border issues and also helping clients structure their personal and business succession planning.

Yulissa was born and raised in San Diego, California. She obtained a B.A. in Japanese and also in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Yulissa has worked in the community dedicating her free time with many organizations, including but not limited to the Volunteer Legal Services program of the San Francisco Bar Association, the Latino Community Foundation, and the Women’s Cancer Resource Center. She also sits on the Board of San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association, Bay Area Latino Lawyers Fund and IDEX.

Yulissa currently lives in the East Bay with her husband and two children. She is fluent in Spanish and English and speaks conversational Japanese and Basque.
